Center-Based Services

  • Low teacher/student ratio (one teacher and one assistant per 12 children)
  • Utilize learning centers (literacy, dramatic play, music, math, block building, creative arts, science, and fine and large motor activities)
  • Have a balance of active and quiet activities
  • Includes both child-initiated and tacher-directed activities
  • Four half-day sessions per week

Itinerant Services

  • Consultative services can be provided
  • Services are provided by licensed Early Intervention Specialists

Speech and Language Therapy

Collaborative services provided individually or in small groups
Students may receive speech therapy if they demonstrate:

  • Language delay
  • Severate artivulation and phonology delay
  • Fluency difficulties
  • Hearing impairment

Occupational Therapy

Collaborative services provided individually or in small groups
Students may receive occupational therapy if they demonstrate:

  • Delays in functional fine motor skills
  • Delays in perceptual skills

Physical Therapy

Direct services provided individually or in small groups
Students may receive physical therapy if they demonstrate:

  • Delays in functional large motor skills
  • Delays in functional mobility and balance

Psychological Services

  • Direct services allow for assessment to aid in the identification of students with disabilities
  • Consultative service provided to teachers and/or parents to address behavioral difficulties

Nursing Services

Collaborative and/or direct service provided to students medical conditions

  • Development of health care plans specific to the medical needs of students
  • Training provided to teachers
