Preschool Services
Center-Based Services
- Low teacher/student ratio (one teacher and one assistant per 12 children)
- Utilize learning centers (literacy, dramatic play, music, math, block building, creative arts, science, and fine and large motor activities)
- Have a balance of active and quiet activities
- Includes both child-initiated and tacher-directed activities
- Four half-day sessions per week
Itinerant Services
- Consultative services can be provided
- Services are provided by licensed Early Intervention Specialists
Speech and Language Therapy
Collaborative services provided individually or in small groups
Students may receive speech therapy if they demonstrate:
- Language delay
- Severate artivulation and phonology delay
- Fluency difficulties
- Hearing impairment
Occupational Therapy
Collaborative services provided individually or in small groups
Students may receive occupational therapy if they demonstrate:
- Delays in functional fine motor skills
- Delays in perceptual skills
Physical Therapy
Direct services provided individually or in small groups
Students may receive physical therapy if they demonstrate:
- Delays in functional large motor skills
- Delays in functional mobility and balance
Psychological Services
- Direct services allow for assessment to aid in the identification of students with disabilities
- Consultative service provided to teachers and/or parents to address behavioral difficulties
Nursing Services
Collaborative and/or direct service provided to students medical conditions
- Development of health care plans specific to the medical needs of students
- Training provided to teachers
