Paraprofessionals
In accordance with Section 3319.074 of the Ohio Revised Code, anyone working as an educational aide in a core subject area* in programs supported with Title I funds must hold an (active) educational aide permit and meet one of the following requirements:
- Have the ESEA designation** on the (active) educational aide permit;
- Have successfully completed at least two years of coursework at an accredited college/university;
- Have an associate degree or higher from an accredited college/university; OR
- Pass the Paraprofessional assessment.
*Core subject areas include reading and English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, and fine arts.

- January 23, 2025 – Thursday
